We had some good rain earlier this spring, so the bluebonnets and indian paintbrushes were really pretty this year. Unfortunately, we didn't get out to take a picture until most of them were way past their peak. That was the bad news... the good news? We did take a picture and it was in our Easter best.
We did color eggs and hunted a few times... with the most fun coming when the girls hid them for me and Cindy and we got to race around the yard and act silly. The interest is definitely on the wane as the girls get older... a sign of the times as time moves forward as it always does.

Fabulous 14
Madison's middle school choir competed at the UIL choir competition last week. They got all 1's! This means they will be singing at Six Flags. Madison was so happy... as she should be.
Lucky for us, they posted a video of the performance on YouTube. In the picture there are two girls behind the center of the piano. Madison is the girl further back and up the platform. The link is below. Be sure to get to the last song... the second solo in the last song is Madison. Click and enjoy...

On a side note, Madison's birthday party with her friends were all from the choir. When they sang happy birthday, it sounded like angels.
