It was a nice flight. I even slept a bit, which I never do on flights. It was nice not to be so out of it when we landed.
We got through customs pretty quickly. Then to the heathrow express… not so fast once again. Down for repairs, so on to the tube.
Fifteen tube stops later, were at St. James Park tube stop, pop up, and walk just a bit to the apartment. Even on the walk, we could see the London eye and part of Westminster abbey. Cool.
We got in the apartment and stashed our luggage and freshened up a bit, then headed back out. We went to a pub, The Albert, for a small bite and a pint. Oh man it was so nice to finally be here.
We did a little sightseeing, walking to Westminster abbey and the parliament building before the rain started picking up.
We headed back to the apartment to get Bailley’s raincoat and rest a minute. Ok, wow, now it’s a challenge to keep our eyes open. We may have dozed a bit, but hopefully not enough to mess up our sleeping.
Back out we go for dinner at Nando’s (gawd I love peri peri chicken). Then walked to buckingham palace, to trafalgar square, and back to the apartment for a proper collapse.
